A 1.06 carat round brilliant lab grown diamond graded Fancy Vivid Pink by the International Gemological Institute, report LG607349909, issued 9 November 2023.

Fancy Vivid sits at the top saturation tier of IGI's fancy colour scale. The stone reads as a saturated, unmodified pink rather than a pastel or a brownish tone, and the round brilliant faceting spreads that colour evenly through the crown.

The cut is where this stone earns its money. Excellent cut, Excellent polish and Excellent symmetry, with measurements of 6.63 to 6.67 x 3.99 mm and a total depth of 60.0 percent. That combination gives a well proportioned round with a face-up spread consistent with its weight.

Clarity is VS1, meaning inclusions are minor and not visible to the unaided eye. Fluorescence is Slight.

The diamond was grown by Chemical Vapour Deposition. IGI records indications of post-growth treatment, which is the standard route to vivid pink in a CVD stone: the colour is developed after growth rather than occurring during it. The colour is permanent for normal wear. Tell your jeweller the stone is treated before any repair work involving a torch, since sustained high heat can affect treated colour.
