Magnetic Acrylic Coin Display Frame

A magnetic acrylic display case for a single coin, built from three clear acrylic layers that snap together on four corner magnets. Available from Williams Bullion, New Zealand owned and based in Christchurch.

The middle layer carries a circular cut-out that the coin sits inside, sandwiched between the front and back plates. Nothing touches the faces of the coin and nothing adheres to it. Because the case closes on magnets rather than screws or a heat seal, you can open it, inspect the coin and close it again without tools and without damaging anything.

WHY ACRYLIC OVER A FLIP OR CAPSULE

Soft PVC flips can leach plasticiser onto a coin over time, which is the cause of the green haze collectors call PVC damage. Acrylic is inert and will not do this. The magnetic frame also stands upright on a shelf or desk, which a capsule cannot, so the coin is displayed rather than stored out of sight.

At 5mm the middle layer accommodates the thickness of a standard one ounce bullion coin comfortably.
