The 2026 1oz Silver Krugerrand brings one of the world's most recognised coin designs into pure silver. Struck by Rand Refinery in South Africa, each coin holds one troy ounce of 99.9% silver and carries the same imagery that first appeared on the Gold Krugerrand in 1967.
The reverse displays the Springbok antelope, South Africa's national symbol, framed by the year of minting, the silver weight and the coin's face value. The obverse bears the portrait of Paul Kruger, State President of the South African Republic, with the country name shown in both Afrikaans and English. The name itself joins Kruger's likeness with the Rand, the South African currency that takes its name from the gold reefs of the Witwatersrand.
Rand Refinery has operated near Johannesburg since opening in 1921 and stands among the most respected names in precious metals, having refined over 50,000 tonnes of gold across its history. The same expertise behind the legendary Gold Krugerrand sits behind its silver counterpart.
Every coin is struck in 0.999 fine silver to a consistent one ounce weight, measuring 38.7 mm across and 2.84 mm thick. As fine metal of 99.9% purity, the Silver Krugerrand is supplied free of GST in New Zealand.
Single coins arrive in protective flips. Orders in multiples of 25 are dispatched in sealed Rand Refinery mint tubes, and quantities of 500 ship in a monster box.
